A History of Service

Lumpp Rental Car Inc has been family-owned-and-operated in the Shenango Valley for more than 30 years. In 1981, George Lumpp opened and established the business on Stambaugh Avenue in Sharon. In 1996, Paul Knott purchased it from Mr. Lumpp and decided to keep the name, since it was already an established and reputable rental business.

Operating with just 30 cars at the time of purchase, Paul worked diligently to build the rental company and moved to E State Street in 2000. Today, 30 years later, it is operating with 125 cars and five employees. It also currently services all of the local area, including Mercer, Grove City, and Greenville.

About the Owner

Paul grew up in Sharon and is a Sharon High School alumnus. He also served in the United States Marine Corp. Taking great pride in being from the local area, he supports all of the schools and family-owned-businesses here in the valley. Paul is married with two children that have become well-known in the local community for their continued appearances in our television commercials.

All of our staff is also from the Shenango Valley and have been with the company for a number of years. Each of our employees is dedicated to providing customers with the utmost service and care.
